Julia Vanwynsberghe

Being an international student and coming to a new place where you don't know anyone can be intimidating. In my case, it didn't take long for the University of Mary to feel like home. Due to Mary’s small student population, I was able to build connections with faculty who helped me along the way.
The International Student Office knew me personally and was able to help me with various situations that arose. The support provided for international students is excellent, and I always knew I had support if I needed it.

Year-Round Campus

Want to do more in four? You can earn your bachelor’s degree in 2.6 years or your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in four years through our one-of-a-kind Year-Round Campus (YRC) program.

Living in North Dakota

North Dakota offers the best of the American Midwest: rolling prairies, wide-open skies, four seasons, and friendly, welcoming people. Bismarck is North Dakota’s capital city, which means that a major airport as well as many of stores, shops, and restaurants are just a 15-minute drive away from campus.

Average temperatures range from 52°F (11°C) to 82°F (29°C) during the spring, summer, and fall. Winter lows sometimes fall below 0°F (-18°C). At Mary, we embrace the changing climate and make the most of every season, enjoying hiking, kayaking, and stargazing on warm summer evenings and skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding in the winter.
